Hello moms & dads. Just booked a first-time stay at the Boardwalk Inn. I read some "cons" that it was a far bus ride to MK. About how long is the ride? Also, any pros you could share? Traveling w/kids - 7, 5 & 3.

    Kimberly,

The bus ride is about 15 minutes typically, but often you will find that the buses that run through the Epcot area resorts (Swan & Dolphin, Yacht Club, Beach Club, and BoardWalk) make a lot of stops. I like to plan for 30 minutes when timing my trip for a dining reservation, since the stops can be hard to predict.

One big tip about the BoardWalk Inn is to ask for a room close to the main lobby area. This is a very big, sweeping resort. Walk times from your room to the lobby and transportation area can be as much as 5-10 minutes.

In the area of "pros", make sure you take full advantage of the family-friendly evening fun that is right outside your door. The BoardWalk can be really fun, but most people overlook it. Plan a night where you will try out a surrey bike, watch the entertainers, grab a slice of pizza, whatever.

Another pro is the pool. Sure, it seems to pale in comparison to Stormalong Bay over at the Yacht and Beach Clubs, but really this is a great pool. Very fun atmosphere, and the slide is actually very fun, even if it has a spooky clown-faced exit.

I am a big fan of the resort. I am glad to offer you more ideas if you have some specific questions.

    Have a magical vacation!
