I am a Dad with 4 year old twin girls. When I take them to the bathroom I always use the Ladies, as I don’t really want them in a Men’s room. Will that be ok in WDW as it is here in Europe? I will use the family rooms if poss, but there may be emergergency

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, David!

How wonderful that you will be bringing your little princesses for a visit to Walt Disney World Resort!  There is something quite special about experiencing the magic of Disney Parks through their eyes.

I understand your predicament.  A few years ago, I brought my young son and daughter on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation without the rest of our family.  I was very concerned about how we were going to handle restroom breaks, as my son felt he was too old to come into the ladies' room with me.  As it turned out, we didn't have any issues.  In some situations we used the companion restrooms, and in others he used the men's room while I waited just outside the door.  Often another parent bringing their children to the restroom would notice my situation and offer to keep an eye on my child.

While it is common for moms to bring young sons and dads to bring young daughters into the restroom with them, it is not standard practice for women to use the men's room or men to use the ladies' room.  To be perfectly honest, I think some guests would be shocked and uncomfortable to see a man in the ladies' room, even with his daughters.

Most restroom locations in the Theme Parks have a companion restroom nearby.  You can find companion restroom locations on this interactive map, on the printed maps distributed in the Theme Parks, and in the My Disney Experience mobile app.  Another option for you would be to visit the Baby Care Centers (not just for babies!) located at each park.  There you'll find restrooms with child-size toilets.

David, when my children were younger, we were very proactive about taking restroom breaks, even when no one felt the need.  My husband still jokes about the time we visited every. single. restroom. at Epcot's World Showcase.  My husband and sons tell me the men's restrooms at Walt Disney World are very clean and nice, and have plenty of stalls with doors for privacy.  In the event of an emergency, their recommendation would be to use the men's room if a companion restroom is not available.

I hope that helps!  Have a wonderful visit, and please let us know if you have any additional questions.
