Hi Moms (& Dad)...Visiting in Nov & will be attending MVMCP for the very first time on Nov 11th. We'll be traveling with 3 kids & 2 gparents on ECV's. I've heard it can get very crowded - any tips on not losing anyone?

    Hi Jenny,

What a great time to visit! We have vacationed many times with grandparents and ECVs.

First, do not walk in front of the ECV. These are real machines and when the grandparent gets distracted they are not paying attention and then they clip the people in front of them.

In general, we try to keep the ECVs between us. My husband or I are in the front next to the first ECV and then the other is pulling up the back with the other. Also, you might want to put a bandana or scarf on your ECV's basket so it is easy to identify and have a small towel handy to wipe the seat after those famous Florida showers. We have spare poncho to throw over the seat. The basket is great to hold your other purchases and we generally leave our stuff in the basket as we ride the rides and have never had a problem.

Also, we park the ECV and then have grandparent's walk the attraction line. Though you can bring an ECV in some of the lines, the turns can be tight and there is nothing worse than a frustrated person trying to move an ECV in a tight space.

Another recommendation is to make sure someone other than the grandparents knows how to drive the ECV. My husband is a pro at it. He usually takes over if there is a tight parking spot or backing up the machine.

Finally, if you rent one at one park, you can transfer the rental to another. Simply save the receipt and show it at your new park.

    Have a great trip!
