Hello moms and dad, we are planning a trip for October 2009 and we want to stay at the Fort Wilderness cabins. Do you know anything about the new pool? when will it be ready? thanks a lot for all the information!!!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort features two swimming pools. The Wilderness Swimmin Pool is the smaller of the two and can be found near the Wilderness cabins. The larger pool is located near the Meadow Tradin Post and is called the Meadow Swimmin Pool. The Meadow Swimmin Pool is scheduled to undergo a refurbishment over the next few months that is thought to be adding a themed water slide, hot tub and a children's water park play area.

The pool is scheduled to close on or around January 12, 2009 and re-open with its new features around March 20, 2009. Although these dates are always subject to change, my guess is that the pool will be all ready for some splashin fun by the time you arrive in October.
