    Hello Moms and Dad, we have dinner reservations for Hoop-Dee-Doo and we will be visiting the Animal Kingdom that day. About how much time should we give ourselves to get there. Our dinner is at 6:00. Thanks.

    First things first. Are you sure that your Hoop Dee Doo reservation is for 6:00 p.m.? There are generally three show of the HDDR, at 5:00, 7:15, and 9:30 each night. They may be trying out a different schedule that I'm unaware of, but I'd double check your reservation just to be sure.

    There are two possible ways for you to get from the Animal Kingdom to the HDDR at Pioneer Hall at Fort Wilderness. You could get on a bus at the AK that is going to Fort Wilderness. The bus depot that you will be dropped at is quite far from Pioneer Hall. So you would need to transfer to an internal Fort Wilderness bus to get there. There is often a cast member stationed at this bus depot to help direct guests.

    The second possible travel method would be to take a bus from the Animal Kingdom to the Magic Kingdom. From there you'll need to transfer to a water shuttle that's going to Fort Wilderness. The dock for this boat is on the water (obviously) between the bus depot and the monorail station. The boat will take you to a dock at Fort Wilderness that is directly adjacent to Pioneer Hall. This is probably the method I'd choose, just because I like the boat ride.

    In both cases, I'd leave the AK about an hour and a half before the show. You may be a teeny bit early, but I'm a "better safe than sorry" kind of girl. If you are early, there is a cute playground and a petting zoo near Pioneer Hall where you can pass a bit of time.
