Hi Moms & Dad! If you were to catch a fairly quick lunch (not character meals or fancy that require ADR) at any of the resorts...which would be your favorite? You guys are wonderful!

My favorite of this type of restaurant is Beaches & Cream, which is located on the walkway between the Yacht & Beach Club resorts. Beaches & Cream is themed like a 50s soda shop, with a jukebox prominent near the doorway. The menu features classic burgers, hot dogs, salads, and sandwiches, but what Beaches & Cream is really known for is it's desserts. You can get old-fashioned malts, milkshakes, sundaes, and banana splits. Or you can go for some over-the-top concoction like the No Way Jose (chocolate and vanilla ice creams, hot fudge, peanut butter, chocolate and peanut butter chips, whippedcream, and a cherry) or the Fudge Mudslide (large brownie, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, Oreos, whippedcream, and a cherry). If you are truly adventurous, you could try the Kitchen Sink. The Kitchen sink is a GIANT sundae which includes: a massive mound of ice cream, bananas, chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, butterscotch sauce, cookies, candy bars, brownies, pound cake, candy chips, cherries, and entire can of whippedcream, all served in a sink-shaped bowl. My family of five tries to conquer this every year and we never even come close to finishing.

Some other nice and easy choices at the resorts include:

    - The Mara at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Nice flatbread pizza with chicken and olives
    - The Pepper Market at Coronado Springs. Large selection of made-to-order food stations.
    - Sassagoula Floatworks at Port Orleans French Quarter. Louisiana favorites like muffaletta sandwiches and fresh bengiets.
    - Trail's End at Fort Wilderness. Reasonably priced all-you-can buffet.

    Happy dining!
