My dad bought Disney World military tickets from Shades of Green. Online it states that these tickets are preactivated and you do not have to go to the ticket window. However, the lady told him they will need to show ID to activate them. Which is correct

    Hi Nikki!

The Walt Disney World Resort really knows how to show their appreciation for members of the U.S. Military!  My husband and I have been very thankful for all of the incredible discounts and offers, including great rates on select Walt Disney World Resort Hotel rooms, spectacular ticket prices, and even a discount on Memory Maker!

When you purchase your Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets at Shades of Green, they are sold "pre-activated."  This means that you can proceed directly to the turnstiles at the park entrance with your tickets when you are ready to use them.  I do suggest still bringing your valid U.S. Military ID with you, just in case!  If you choose to purchase your tickets at a military base ticket office, you will receive vouchers that you will then need to activate upon your arrival at the parks.

If you are concerned that your tickets might not be activated, just get to the parks a few minutes early.  We always buy our tickets on post, so we always have to activate them.  We usually give ourselves an extra 15 minutes to make sure that we have time to visit Guest Relations or a ticketing window before we proceed to the park entrance.  If you have a particularly early morning planned, you can even go to any ticketing window or Guest Relations location the evening before!  The Cast Members there will be happy to assist you!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
