My dad (age 65) and I are coming to Disney on June 10 through 13 for my birthday/Father's Day. We want to go to Typhoon Lagoon. And, plan to go on Friday. Would it be better to go when the park opens or wait until early afternoon to avoid the crowds?

Hi Donna! What a perfect way to celebrate your birthday and Father's Day! I highly (HIGHLY) recommend getting to parks for opening time. It is amazing the difference an hour can make in crowds. At Typhoon Lagoon, you'll have your pick of sunny or shady spots. We absolutely love Crush 'n' Gusher, and managed to do two rides on each of the three coasters before line ups started.

Wishing you a magical birthday Donna!
