Hello. We are currently at WDW and may be too late in asking but... My question is if we want to get up and get in line for the SW Riase of Resistance que an hour prior to rope drop, does my MIL need to be with us that early if she will not be riding?

Hi Kristin!  I hope my response gets to you in time for your early morning visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios!

Guests who would like to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will need to join a virtual queue called a Boarding Group upon entry to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Guests may join a Boarding Group from the home screen on the My Disney Experience mobile app, or by visiting stations in the park set up for this purpose.  All  Guests in the riding party must have entered the park in order to be placed in a Boarding Group.  Once your Boarding Group number is called, you then have a two-hour window in which you may visit the attraction.

If your mother-in-law does not plan to experience this attraction, she will not need to be with you when you enter the park and will not need to join a boarding group.  She is welcome to meet up with you whenever she likes.

I hope that helps!  Please visit the Moms Panel again with any additional questions you may have.

May the Force be with you!
