We currently have a vacation booked 2016. I am the only person from my group returning within a year. I was going to get an annual pass for myself. Will I be able to use the room discount on my trip that is already booked? And the 2017 trip not booked?

Hi, Jenn! There are so many great benefits to being a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder - Disney PhotoPass downloads, great savings on Resort hotel rooms, and the ability to come back for more unforgettable moments, all year long! A few years ago, I found myself in your same situation. While my family only had one planned trip that year, I was going to be in the area several times for work conferences. I planned to buy an Annual Pass but did not want to purchase it until I arrived for our first trip that year. I found that accomplishing this was easier than saying, "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!" I called Walt Disney World Resort Reservations and informed the Cast Member that I would like to book a room with the Annual Passholder discount. The Cast Member was amazing and had me all set up within minutes. Once I arrived at my Resort hotel, I was asked to show a current Annual Pass to complete check-in. Note that when you check in, the Annual Pass must be in the same name as the person whose name appears on the reservation, and the credit card used for the reservation deposit must belong to the Passholder. In my case, I had planned to purchase my Annual Pass once we visited our first theme park, so the Cast Member graciously allowed me to just return at my convenience before check-out and show my Annual Pass.

I hope this helps you while planning your upcoming trips, Jenn! Please stop by and visit us again if you have any other questions or would like to discuss some other aspects of your trips. I hope you have a magical day!
