I am currently suffering with Sacroiliac (SI) joint pain, radiates deep into the buttock and lower back. The symptoms typically worsens with activity and prolonged positions,e.g standing in queues. Can I access DAS support?

    HI Lisa,

I love that you are starting to plan your vacation in advance of your visit. The Walt Disney World Resort has many services available for Guests with disabilities. Starting May 20, 2024, at the Walt Disney World Resort, there will be some changes to the Disability Access Service (DAS) system. Guests seeking assistance will now have a conversation with a Cast Member to discuss their individual needs. In some cases, a specially trained team of health professionals will join these conversations to determine which Disney services are required by each Guest with disabilities.

While I can't confirm if your specific issue will be covered under DAS, I suggest reaching out to the Disability Service Team once you arrive for your Walt Disney World Resort visit. They can provide personalized assistance and guidance based on your unique situation. Additionally, you may want to explore the Services for Guests with Mobility Needs section on the Disney website to familiarize yourself with the available options in advance.

I hope this information helps you plan a magical vacation. Wishing you a wonderful time at Disney!
