    Going on 9/25 and currently at Saratoga Villa's, we stayed at BC Villas last time but wanted something different, but questioning if Animal Kingdom Villas would be better choice. We are staying in a 3br villa because many family members will be coming.

    Our family stayed in the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas last October and the Saratoga Springs Villas this past trip. Both of those properties are great choices and will offer you beautiful comfortable rooms for your family to enjoy. I personally think this choice would come down to what setting I was looking for on this trip.

    AKLV has a more secluded feel to it since it is away from the majority of the parks and shopping areas. The resort has unique dining opportunities with Boma and Jiko and the large majestic lobby sets the tone of an African village. The resort and of course many of the rooms offer an amazing up close viewing opportunity of the resorts wildlfe. The only drawback we found with this resort is the distnace to the other WDW areas. Since the resort is slightly removed, the transportation times to9 many of our planned activities took a little longer but the views and resort often made it worth the extra few minutes. 

    Saratoga Springs  is located across the water from Downtown Disney. Given its location, this resort has a busier feel to it and may not be as peaceful. It feels, to us, like there is always some activity or action going on at this property. You will not find the unique ethnic flair here that you did at AKLV but we love having easy access to the Downtown Disney area for dinner, shopping or just an evening walk.

    Both properties offer a counter service location, although we prefer AKL's as there seems to be a larger menu selection, table service locations, and a wonderful pool. Our family would give Animal Kingdom Lodge the edge for food options and beauty but the edge to Saratoga Springs for location. I am confident no matter which you choose your family will have a great time. They are both fantastic properties. Good luck withyour choice!
