Hi Jessica! Your twins are at such a wonderful age for a trip to Disney World! Disney definitely isn't just for princesses; there are lots of fun activities for your little prince too! While your daughter is being transformed into a princess at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, you husband and son can become pirates at The Pirates League. For $29.95 plus tax, boys (or
girls) can be transformed into scary pirates -- the makeover includes one of
five facial effects, an eyepatch, earring, bandanna, sword and much more. The
Pirates League is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and you can make
reservations by calling 407-WDW-CREW. My son joined the pirate crew on a recent trip, and the experience was a lot of fun -- it's definitely much more than just a makeover!
Downtown Disney also has lots of fun activities for boys. Your husband and son may enjoy a trip to DisneyQuest. This indoor interactive theme park is filled
with virtual-reality rides and games -- you can even design your own roller
coaster and then take a ride on it! Another option is a trip to the Ridemakerz
store, where your son can build custom remote-controlled toy race cars, or
a trip to the Lego store, where he'll see amazing Lego sculptures outside,
have an opportunity to build his own, and of course, buy a new set. (I think my husband enjoys these two stores as much as my son -- they're definitely fun for "big boys" too!) Finally,
your son might enjoy a ride on Characters in Flight -- this tethered hot
air balloon ascends 400 feet above Downtown Disney. The ride costs $18 for
adults and $12 for children and offers an exhilarating view of Disney World.
Hope I've given you some fun ideas for your son! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you need more help!
