Currently planning a trip for Sept. Thinking about taking a red eye flight so the children can sleep on the plane. Wondering what the earliest time the resorts will allow the guests to check in without being charged for another night?

    Hi Kari,

The check in time at the Walt Disney Room Resorts is 11:00 am. You sometimes can get into the room as early as 10:00 am which has happened to my family but it is extremely rare.

Also, with the red eye, they usually get in at 6:00 am which means there needs to be an empty room for you to move into which there is no guarantee of this. After being asleep, I would think your children would be ready to hit the parks which usually do not open until 8:00 am especially in September when the crowds are lighter.

Did you consider the first flight out for the day? Coming from Pennsylvania, you are talking at most a three hour flight unless you have a layover. I know my oldest daughter does not sleep on the plane so this is the best option for us to maximize our vacation.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
