I am currently planning a trip for Disney with SIL & MIL , they asked me to book the rooms ,DDP & LL on my account. However I don’t want to be responsible for their booking LL & dining credits at Disney. How do I transfer it 2them at park?

    Hi Leandra!

Welcome to planDisney! That sounds like such a fun girls’ trip! I’m the planner on our family vacations, too, so I’m happy to help you out.

As you’re booking your Disney World vacation, you’ll want to make sure that each member of your travel party has their own My Disney Experience account. That way, you can link each individual to the reservation. Every adult who has their own account will then be able to help manage plans, such as booking Lightning Lanes and using the dining plan.

Once everyone has created their My Disney Experience account and has the My Disney Experience app downloaded, you can click the 3 lines in the bottom right corner of the app, then scroll down to click Profile. From there, click Family & Friends List at the top of the page and follow the prompts to add a guest to your list.

There are a couple of important things to note when it comes to managing plans during your trip, though!

First up, with the Disney Dining Plan, credits will be grouped by room. So, while everyone will be able to check their My Disney Experience app to see how many credits the group has, you will each need to monitor your portion of the credits on your own if you’re sharing a room.

Now, when it comes to Lightning Lanes, each person will be able to book their own Lightning Lanes if that’s how your group prefers to do it. When booking a Lightning Lane, you will confirm your party, so you can decide who you want to book each Lightning Lane for. I will say that, if you plan to use Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass and you’d like to have the same return times for attractions, I recommend having one person book the whole party’s Lightning Lane pre-selections. Then on your park day, you can decide if you want to split up or keep booking as a group. Lightning Lane return times are subject to availability, so it can be a little difficult to ensure everyone has similar return times if you all book separately.

I hope that helps! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, feel free to come back and visit us. Have the best trip!
