Hiya, Rebecca!
Welcome to planDisney, my fellow Marylander! Growing up, my summers off from school always included a weeklong trip to the
Most Magical Place On Earth, and I'm thrilled to hear you'll be trading the waters of the Chesapeake Bay or Ocean City for the sparkling shores of Seven Seas Lagoon and Crescent Lake this summer. There's nothing quite like the magic of Walt Disney World Resort in the sunshine, and I'd love to help you make the most of your trip!
You're absolutely right that
Walt Disney World theme park tickets are non-refundable, but I have some good news! If your plans change and you cannot use your tickets, you can apply the value of wholly unused tickets toward purchasing new tickets for a future date. When you're ready to reschedule, you can do so through your
My Disney Experience account or by contacting a friendly Cast Member at
Existing Tickets via the Help Center on the Walt Disney World website. Remember that your new dates have a higher ticket price, and you'll be responsible for paying the difference.
Since you're planning, let's talk about where to stay! Walt Disney World Resort offers accommodations for every budget and preference, from
Value Resorts with larger-than-life theming to
Moderate Resorts offering an excellent blend of comfort and charm to
Deluxe Resorts with stunning amenities and convenient park access. If you'd like recommendations on the best fit for you and your son, I'd be happy to help!
One more tip before you finalize your plans: If you visit in 2025 and stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you'll receive
complimentary water park admission on your check-in day! That means an early flight out of Baltimore or D.C. could have you splashing into Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach before the day is over. What better way to kick off your vacation?
I hope this helps, Rebecca. If you have any other questions,
please send them my way. I wish you and your son an unforgettable adventure!
See you real soon,
Brent
