Currently debating between a deluxe (Wilderness Lodge) and moderate (PO-Riverside) resort. Can you tell me the square footage of a standard room for each location? Will a Disney crib fit easily into each room (crib, not pack and play)? Also, I’ve never

    Hi Amanda,

The standard Port Orleans rooms are approximately 314 square feet, while the standard Wilderness Lodge rooms are approximately 344 square feet. That's not a huge difference, but it is enough to make a crib feel like less of an intrusion in the room. Yes, a real crib will fit in both spaces, it's really a matter of comfort level. If you're looking for more space, some of the other deluxe hotels have significantly bigger than the Wilderness Lodge. While the WL has my favorite theming in all of WDW, the room at the Polynesian are positively palatial in comparison.

if you're interested in delving into this topic further, you may want to head over to the independent website blog.touringplans.com. Search there for an article called "Deciding where to stay at Disney World, Crunching the Numbers: Square Footage." There are charts there that give the footage numbers for every WDW hotel.
