Welcome aboard, Cheryl!
My family and I have sailed in all sorts of stateroom categories and in locations from Aft to Midship to Forward, and have had fabulous experiences each time. We normally choose a
Family Oceanview stateroom with a Verandah when we
sail with Disney, which you've chosen too. They are spacious and super comfortable for my family of four, so I know that you would certainly enjoy those accommodations.
Midship is our favorite place to sail, and it's not due to less movement of the ship, but because that central location makes it easier to get anywhere onboard quickly and easily, so I'd recommend keeping your stateroom exactly as you've booked it. If you're looking for a more elite and specialized experience with your own personal concierge, then a
Concierge Stateroom is another nice option. My family and I haven't sailed in Concierge because we get such amazing service anyway from our stateroom hosts that we save the cost in price and enjoy more
Port Adventures instead! But, if you're really hoping for the Concierge experience, I don't think you'll be bothered by a stateroom in Aft. When we've sailed Forward or Aft, I honestly haven't noticed much of a difference in movement of the ship. Of course, I'm not prone to sea sickness, but for those that are, there are Sea Bands and other motion sickness patches that seem to work well, so you may look into that.
I hope that helps as you prepare to enjoy this magical adventure at sea with Captain Mickey and his crew, Cheryl!
