Melisa from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We currently have APs and have held them since 2016. When we renew to the new AP system, will we be required to put the $200 deposit down for renewal in the new system? Or, do we just sign a new contract and continue paying monthly as a FL Resident?

You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney, Melisa!

I love it when a fellow Annual Passholder stops by to discuss the magic of returning to Walt Disney World Resort all yEAR long! The discounts on select merchandise and delectable dining make it feel so worthwhile! And being close neighbors with Mickey Mouse sure has its perks; not only are you close to the magic, but Florida residents also have the option of making monthly payments towards their Annual Passes after a one-time down payment on the date of purchase.

Melisa, I called and spoke to a friendly Cast Member at the Annual Passholder line, and was informed that the process will be the same as usual when renewing an Annual Pass, and no down payment will be needed. Yippie!

Do be sure to read up on the new Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passes! You’ll find some even offer an upgrade to the number of park pass reservations Guests can hold!

We can’t wait for you to return to the magic, Melisa. Have an enchanting time!
