Hey there, hi there, Kylie! Welcome to planDisney. I'm thrilled you stopped by to ask me a question! Before we get to your question though, please allow me to thank you for your service on behalf of all of us here at planDisney. We appreciate you and your service to our country.
How sweet it is to hear that you are thinking about gifting some Disneyland tickets to your family. Our family greatly appreciates the offers that Disneyland extends to military families. There are two ticket types available at most military base ticket offices for Disneyland. The first ticket type is the
Disney Military Promotional Tickets. These tickets are offered at a great discount, but there are very important terms and conditions to these tickets, including that a service member can only purchase up to 6 tickets per promotional period. These tickets also require the service member to be present when activating these tickets for the first time. The service member also must be using one of these tickets. The second ticket type would be your standard Disneyland ticket, either
One Park Per Day or a Park Hopper and these usually are only very slightly discounted. These would be the ones you would need to purchase if you are not going to be enjoying the parks with your family.
Once you purchase the tickets for your family, it is super important that they link them to a Disney account so that they can make
theme park ticket reservations for the dates they want to visit. Theme park ticket reservations along with a valid theme park ticket are both required for entry.
Kylie, thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this gives you some clarity on your options. I'm always here if you have any other questions!
Carrie
