Hello, im retired military member and purchased 9 military tickets at the local base for extended visiting family. Does each member need to have a military ID or just the individual that purchased the ticket?

Hello there, Richard! Welcome to planDisney. We love helping Guests get the answers to their planning questions!

I am thrilled to hear that you were able to take advantage of the military base ticket office for your Disneyland tickets. My family also loves being able to do this too! To answer your question, this all depends on which ticket type you purchased. There are two ticket types available from the military base ticket offices. The first ticket type is the standard park ticket which is offered at a slight discount. These tickets can be used by anyone and you do not need to show a military ID at the gate. The other ticket type is the Disney Military Promotional Ticket. These are limited to 6 tickets per year per eligible retired or active duty service member. For these tickets, the service member must be present when using the tickets for the first time to show their military ID, as well as use one of the tickets themselves.

Also, because you purchased your tickets through the military base ticket office you have a very important step left to do. You will need to head to the Disneyland website to create or log in to your Disney account. From there, you will want to link these tickets to your account so that you can make theme park ticket reservations. Reservations are required for each day and for each ticket in order to enter the parks.

Richard, I hope this information is helpful and you are ready to enjoy Disneyland Resort and all of the Halloween fun that is going on right now. See you real soon!
