Hey there, Fred!
One reason that my family chooses to stay in the Disney Resorts Collection is the
complimentary transportation. It is so much easier hopping on a boat or a bus than it is to load the little ones in and out of their car seats and dealing with traffic and parking trams.
Fred,
bus capacity is currently not limited, but that does not mean that this could not change in the future based on new
physical distancing guidelines. What I can tell you is that each and every person over 2 years old is required to wear a face covering aboard Walt Disney World Resort transportation.
Fred, bus transportation wait times will vary greatly depending on the time of day that you are coming and going, and sometimes just based on luck. Busses generally run every 20 minutes, and you can expect longer wait times first thing in the morning and once the parks close. I have also experienced a mid-day rush when people head back to the resorts for a break.
Fred, when I am picking my resort hotel, I try to pick a location that offers multiple modes of transportation to and from the theme parks. I absolutely love
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort which lets us hop aboard the
Disney Skyliner for quick transportation to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. You can also access the Disney Skyliner at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort.
If you are looking for a bit of a splurge, you could not go wrong with any resort on the
Disney Monorail Line. Likewise, you can actually walk to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios from
Disney's Boardwalk Inn and a magical boat will whisk you away to the Magic Kingdom from
Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
I just know that you will have a fabulous time, Fred.
Happy planning!
