What is the current rules for das and what do I need to provide since I have a reservation after the new requirements start

Hey there, Joseph, and welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for bringing us your question and it's wonderful to see you here! Congratulations on your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! It's a big trip and I'm sure you want to be as prepared as possible.

Disney did recently announce changes to their  Disability Access Service (DAS) which mainly included changes to eligibility, registration, and the DAS party. I would encourage you to study the main website and its FAQ, as it may answer many of your questions there. However, as a brief overview, DAS is now a service meant for Guests who are unable to wait in a traditional queue setting due to a developmental disability like autism or similar condition. Registration for DAS remains via live video chat with a Cast Member up to 30 days before your visit. Cast Members will now have the option to consult with employees from Inspire Health Alliance to help them determine eligibility, which will be on a case by case basis, as before. The DAS party is now limited to four Guests, including the DAS applicant, but exceptions can be made for immediate family members.

Disney remains committed to being inclusive to all Guests, so if you feel that your condition is not covered by these new rules, please head over to Accessibility Tools and Resources to see what is offered for Guests with other conditions. If you opt to have a live video chat with a DAS Cast Member, know that they will never ask for documentation or a doctor's note, so there is no need to feel that you need to provide anything. Just be honest and know that there are multiple ways to access attraction queues. Disney will always do their best to give their Guests the best experience possible.

Joseph, I hope that this was a helpful answer and that you have fun planning your trip later this year! Please return again if you have any further questions because we'd love to hear from you and to continue being involved in your trip. You're always welcome at planDisney. Until next time!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
