Hi there, Rose! Thanks for popping by planDisney with your question!
Once upon a time, I used to grab the standard refillable popcorn buckets purely for the endless popcorn snacking (who can resist that buttery goodness?). These buckets are such a deal, with discounted refills throughout your trip, and you get a fantastic souvenir to take home! Nowadays, popcorn buckets have become a whole phenomenon. You might even say they’re
popular collectibles! My sister-in-law loves them so much she’s dedicated an entire room to displaying her collection!
My friend
Shantel recommends following the Disney Parks Instagram page for sneak peeks at the latest designs. Right now, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is showcasing the new Lightbulb Moment Figment bucket, complete with colorful rainbow popcorn. It’s a work of art itself! Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I spotted the Salvaged Stormtrooper Helmet bucket, available at popcorn stands like
Kat Saka’s Kettle. It’s a must-have for any Star Wars fan!
Both buckets are available via
Mobile Order in the
My Disney Experience app (so you can skip the line and go straight to the fun). Just tap the (+) icon in your app, select “Order Food,” and choose your arrival window. Don’t wait too long, though because these designs are so cool, they
pop off the shelves fast!
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, you might find the adorable Timon Sipper and Pumbaa Popcorn Bucket duo at
Trek Snack or other carts around the park. Originally released for the park’s 25th anniversary, they would make a wild addition to your collection! Availability seems to come and go, so fingers crossed they’re still hanging around during your trip. Just a kernel of advice: popcorn buckets are seasonal and limited, so if you see one you love, snag it while you can!
I hope your vacation is a-maize-ing in every way, Rose! If you have more questions, I’m all ears!
