Michelle from AZ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

With current policies and the transportation situation, what would be the plan you would take to go to Captain Cook‘s for breakfast before going to Epcot for the day. We are staying off property and are renting a car.

Welcome to planDisney, Michelle!  We are so glad you brought your question to us today.

Returning to a World of Magic may look a bit different than in the past.  During the initial reopening period of Walt Disney World Resort, some operational changes have been implemented to promote health and safety.  Dining locations will be limited in capacity, and some locations will remain temporarily closed.  Currently, day Guests (those not staying overnight) must have a confirmed dining reservation in order to visit a Disney Resort Hotel.  Guests without a reservation will not be permitted to park at the hotel.

If you would like to enjoy breakfast at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort before heading over to EPCOT for the day, I recommend making a reservation at Kona Cafe.  Guests with confirmed dining reservations are eligible for complimentary standard self-parking at the resort while enjoying their meal.  You'll then be able to drive directly to EPCOT after breakfast.  Bonus tip: the infamous Tonga Toast is served at both Capt. Cook's AND Kona Cafe!

I recommend keeping your eye on the "Dining: Know Before You Go" page for more information and any updates.  Please feel free to ask us any additional questions you may have.  We are always happy to help.
