Hi Greg,
Welcome to planDisney! Adventure is out there, so let’s level up your Disneyland Parks experience.
When you have a park hopper ticket, your reservation determines which park you start your day at. Once you purchase a
Park Hopper, you can switch to the other park starting at 11:00 AM. To
upgrade your ticket, you'll need to visit Guest Services at either Disneyland or California Adventure. You can also stop by a ticket booth in the esplanade between the entrances to both parks. When upgrading, you'll just need to pay the difference between your one-park ticket and the cost of the park hopper ticket.
Since you’re planning to spend time in both parks, I highly recommend getting the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This will help you maximize your time in the park, so you’re spending less time in line and more time enjoying the magic. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass is especially beneficial for you because you’ll be able to make ride reservations for both
Disneyland and
California Adventure. It also includes unlimited downloads of any photos taken that day with Disney PhotoPass. Be sure to ask if there are any magic shots available!
Greg, I hope this information is helpful. Your upcoming trip will take place during the
70th anniversary of Disneyland! Be sure to check out all the
special events and celebrations happening at the parks for this milestone. Follow
Disney Parks on social media for more updates on the exciting things happening at the Disneyland Resort. If you have any other questions or need help planning any other aspects of your trip, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share our thoughts.
Enjoy your trip!
