With current Covid precautions, are cast members still allowed to take your camera or cell phone to snap your photo? I used to hand off my camera to cast members all the time pre-Covid and I wasn't sure what to expect this go around.

Hey there, Casey! We're glad you're here!

This is such a great question. Especially with the situation in the world right now, it's hard to keep up with changes and regulations, but I'm so happy to tell you that Walt Disney World is on top of the latest information and guidance, and they have guest and cast member safety in mind at all times.

On my most recent trip in December, cast members were using guest phones to take those magical family photos. It was so nice to see after such a long time when they couldn't! I do want to encourage you to stay informed on the latest health and safety precautions being taken at the parks and resorts, just in case things change by the time you go. If for any reason a cast member isn't able to take your personal camera or cell phone, they'll definitely let you know when you ask. Just remember that things are changing quickly for them as well, so practice your selfie game before you head off to vacation. I don't always suggest taking advice from Uncle Scar, but in this case, Be Prepared!

Don't forget, there will still be Disney Photopass photographers throughout the parks to help you capture those magical moments with your family. That lets everyone get in the picture, and you may capture some magic you can't see with your own camera. Check out Memory Maker, which will let you download your photos and see those extra magical moments.

Casey, I hope you and your family capture all the happy moments and they become some of your most magical memories!
