Hey there, Dennis! Welcome back to planDisney!
Oh boy, your trip to Walt Disney World Resort is right around the corner and you couldn't be coming at a better time to experience
The World's Most Magical Celebration! Not only that, but it sounds like you have a wonderful group of 10 who will be joining you on this vacation. Here's a little secret: magic multiplies when it's shared, and your trip is sure to be an extra special one!
Dennis, I'd love to help your family link their accounts together! This is a great way to make planning a lot easier and feel much more magical. I've got a few tips to help you get started!
- If it appears as though you are currently managing the accounts for your travel party, you'll first want to share those plans with the other adults. To do this, log into your account, hover your mouse over the My Disney Experience tab, and click on My Family & Friends. If it states "Plans managed by me" next to their names, you'll want to click Update, then the Share Planning link. From there, enter the email address so that each individual adult can manage their own plans.
- Once you know that each adult can log into their own My Disney Experience account, they will want to make sure that they have everyone in their travel party linked to their Family & Friends List. They can log into their account, hover their mouse over the My Disney Experience tab, and click on My Family & Friends. Scroll down and click Add a Guest. I've had the best experience when choosing "Import from a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation." You may also be able to add other people in your travel party by choosing "Find through my connected Guests." It would be helpful for them to be able to see all 10 Guests in their travel party.
- From here, all members of your party should be able to do two things: log into their My Disney Experience accounts and see everyone in their travel party. This is a wonderful start!
- At this point, I'd ask one adult in each family to be the "point person" for their group. When making plans, selecting reservations, or even deciding to mobile order food, they can be in charge of doing so for their immediate family only. This takes the pressure off of one person (you!) having to make these plans for your entire group of 10!
If for some reason you still aren't able to have everyone linked in your Family & Friends List, my best advice would be to
speak to a Cast Member. They're a little like real-life fairy godparents when you need someone to sprinkle some extra pixie dust on the situation to help. If you do call a Cast Member, I'd try calling them right when the phone lines open in the morning since their magic can sometimes be in high demand!
Also, I'm happy to hear that you've downloaded and started exploring the
My Disney Experience app! I'd recommend that the adults in your travel party do the same. This app is a little like holding a magic wand in your hand, unlocking everything that The Most Magical Place on Earth has to offer!
I hope I was able to help you today, Dennis! Remember, you've got a friend in me.
See ya real soon!
Michelle
