Just curious...I thought the 1st week of December was a good time to go. Now see it looks like most restaurants are booked. Getting worried that it is going to be very crowded on our trip?

Hi, Leslie!  Traditionally, the first week in December has been a low crowd week to go.  It's after the rush of Thanksgiving weekend, but before the Christmas crowds come down.  It has typically been value season, so the prices have been lower at the resorts this time of year.

In recent years, though, I have seen the crowds get a bit bigger.  I know as a Disney Vacation Club member, it's a low points season for us, so it seems a popular time for DVC members to head down and enjoy the holiday festivities.  This year, you also have the free dining plan extended into December, so for many families, it's not only a great way to save money on a Walt Disney World vacation, but it's a wonderful opportunity to try restaurants they may not have normally visited.

I think compared with a truly busy season, you'll still find the crowds manageable this time of year.  It's just not going to be as quiet as it has been in years past.

I hope your vacation is still magical!
