Curious about staying at AOA March 2013. Family of 4- daughter age 9, son age 4. Have stayed at POFQ & WL (really enjoyed WL). Would we be disappointed with the lack of amenities, bus wait times/full buses, etc at AOA? Thanks!

    Hi Sherry,

I writing to you from my room at Art of Animation right now!

Based on my experience on opening day, you will not be disappointed. Given your family, I assume that you'd be staying in a suite. My Nemo room is incredibly spacious. It almost feels like a villa. Even the bathrooms are big. It's great having the microwave and larger refrigerator. And of course everything is brand new, so it's state of the art.

While the pool has no slide like the deluxe resorts, you'll barely notice. The water play area is gorgeous and there's under water Nemo sound effects in the Big Blue pool. So fun to hear Dory talking to you under water!

The food court is totally yum! There are healthy options like make-your-own salad and create-your-own smoothie, and classics like burgers and pizza. PLUS there are interesting treats like tandoori fish and Naan bread.

As for the buses, I haven't had any issues during my brief stay here. The parks are fairly crowded in March, so you might experience transportation issues anywhere. There's  no reason to think that AoA would be any better or worse than anywhere else.

Another great feature at the AoA suites is that the rooms are accessed via an internal hallway, like at the deluxe hotels, rather than via the outside like at the other value resorts. This gives a much more upscale feel to the resort.

I've been very pleased with my stay here. Please let me know what other questions you have about eye resort. I'll be here for two more nights and am happy to explore for you.
