Hi mom's. I am just curious if anyone has stayed at Coronado Springs Resort and if so what was your experience with a child. We will be staying over Thanksgiving at here with our gonna be 20 month old. Any tips if ever traveled with this age what to bring.

    Hi Heidi,

Traveling with a 20 month old child can be a challenge but I have a few tips to make your trip easier. First, your backpack will be your friend. I would make sure you have a change of clothes, snacks, wipes, bottle/juice cup and a few toys. These will help keep your little one happy while you are touring the parks and waiting on line. I would also have a sweatshirt or jacket with you because it can be chilly at night.

Another great thing to pack are small sandwich bags or containers. I know my daughter would often not finish her meal at this age. By having the sandwich bags handy, I could easily pop the leftovers into the bag and then take them for later. It was much smaller to carry than the traditional take-out containers.

My last tip, which is not so much a packing tip but more a travel tip, is to stick to your child's schedule when touring. This helps keep your little one happy. So if s/he likes to wake up early and be in bed by eight, plan your touring around that schedule. Also, skip the Park Hopper option if you have not bought your tickets and enjoy only one park a day.

As for Coronado Springs, it is one of my favorite resorts. However, it is large so look to stay closer to the front for less walking. The Pepper Market is a fun place to grab a meal before heading out to tour. My children were nine and eleven when we stayed there and they loved the pool. You will be on a bus so make sure you have a compact stroller in case you have to stand during the ride to and from the park.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
