Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare for dinner? We're vegetarians and my youngest is 16 so good food is a bigger priority than the characters although we'd like to do at least one character experience. It's our first visit. Thanks moms!

    Hi Cherry-Ann!

I can tell you that as a fellow vegetarian, Walt Disney World is the EASIEST place to eat. I've never, ever had a problem at a restaurant - even steak or seafood places - requesting a vegetarian meal. In cases where I didn't see any vegetarian items (very rare) or they did not appeal to me, I've just let my server know. Each time a chef has visited our table to ask what I would like for my meal. I always feel so pampered! I hope you have the same experience when you visit!

Personally, of the three choices you list, I'd recommend Crystal Palace as my first choice and Chef Mickey's as my second. Although it is a close competition, I give a slight nod to Crystal Palace's food choices over Chef Mickey's.

When you arrive at the restaurant, be sure to let the wait staff know that you are vegetarian and ask that they give you a tour of the buffet so that you'll know which items fit you diet. You can let them know if you eat eggs, dairy or fish so they'll know which dishes to point out to you.

If you follow a vegan diet, I would recommend noting it on your dining reservation just so you're assured that they will be aware of your restrictions.

Hope you have a great time!
