    crusing on the Dream Nov11-15, 2013 (4ni). One stop is Casta.cay. I have been reading where several people have asked about the 5K on the Island. I would be very interested in doing it. How do I find out if it is offered when we go there?

    Ahoy Julie!
    You will love sailing on the stunning Disney Dream!  It will seem like a dream with all that Disney offers on the high seas!  I am also a runner and ran the Castaway Cay 5K a few weeks ago.  The night before you arrive in Castaway Cay, you will receive your daily cruise newsletter, The Personal Navigator.  Race instructions including meeting time and location will be listed.  On my sailing, we met onboard and received our race bibs before disembarking the ship.  The race began around 9:15 by the bike rentals.  It was a great run and after crossing the finish line a member of the cruise staff presents you with a Mickey medal.  Next to the starting/finishing line, there is a shop that sells a Castaway Cay 5K t-shirt.  When I was there it was around $22.00 and makes a great souvenir along with the race bib and medal.  Later that night, I received a Finisher's Certificate in my stateroom!  It was a fantastic experience, and I definitely recommend it!
