On all crusies do you need a passport?

    Hi Susan!

Planning a cruise is an exciting time and having everything in order before you depart makes it even more enjoyable!  Disney Cruise Line recommends that all Guests travel with a passport on all their cruises due to the U.S. governments changing policies.  If you are cruising on a closed-loop cruise which leaves from a U.S. home port and returns to that same port, you can use a birth certificate instead of a passport.  The problem that could occur would be if an unforeseen circumstance happened at home while you are visiting another country and you needed to fly home immediately.  To fly out of a foreign port of call would require a passport.  My advice is to check out the Passport Information on DisneyCruise.com to help make your decision.  I understand it is an added expense, but passports for adults will last ten years and five years for children under 16.

I'd love to continue to help you with your cruise planning! If you have any further questions, please let me know!

    Have a fabulous day!
