I will be cruising on the Wonder in Alaska, I am wondering if Flounders Reef Nursery is open while the ship is in port if I want to leave my 1.5year old there and go on a port adventure in which he is too young for. Thanks!!

    Ahoy, Julie!
I'm so excited to hear you'll be setting sail on an Alaskan adventure on the Disney Wonder! There are so many amazing excursions to experience in the ports of call on this particular sailing. My family was fortunate enough to cruise the seven-night Alaskan itinerary last summer, and we loved exploring each port and found them all very different, which we loved! One of many perks to cruising with Disney is the awesome youth programming. Your little sailor will be able to stay aboard to enjoy Flounder's Reef Nursery while you venture into town. Hours of operation are adjusted for Guests wanting to hit the ground running as early as possible. Advanced reservations and an hourly fee do apply, so I suggest booking your son's spot sooner than later. Reservations can be made online in the Planning Center section of the website once your booking window opens up.
My son was around the same age on our first Disney Cruise, and he really enjoyed his time in the nursery. My favorite part was being able to peek in on him by using the two-way glass, and I even caught him in the rocking chair with Snow White! I'm sure your son will have a "Wonder-ful" experience as well!
Best wishes for a magical sailing to the Last Frontier, Julie! If you think of any other last minute questions, please let us know!
    Bon Voyage!
