We're cruising to the West. Carribean for 7 days w/ our 3 & 5 yr. old. What should we do to prevent motion sickness for them? Our dr. didn't know the dose of ginger for kids. She suggests ginger candy or Dramamine. Any ideas on what works?

Great to hEar from you again, Kimberly!

I had this very same question when I cruised for the first time with my own children.  I also spoke with my pediatrician and he said that children usually do not get seasick on large vessels like a cruise ship.  But, I was prepared just in case and took along Dramamine in my first aid kit.  Luckily, I did not need to use it and after five cruises neither of my two have shown any signs of motion sickness.

I would definitely be prepared with the ginger candy or Dramamine, but my hope is your cruise will be free of any kind of illness!

If you think of anything else before you set sail, please let me know!  I'm always happy to help!

Have a magical day and wonderful cruise vacation!
