Welcome aboard Karen! This summer will be so magical for your family when you head out to sea to explore the Mediterranean with Disney Cruise Line! Having experienced this myself last summer, I can tell you that your family is in for the trip of a lifetime! Venice was one of my favorite ports and Disney offers so many exciting Port Adventures there and in the other ports of call! I'm glad to hear you have booked a few of your favorites already!
Children do not need to pre-book time in the Oceaneer Club or Oceaneer Lab on the Disney Magic. The only Youth Club that requires pre-booked hours is It's A Small World Nursery, so no worries for your family. When your kids are ready to head into the clubs, simply stop by the entrance to either the Club or the Lab, scan them in with their Mickey Bands, let them wash their hands in the super cool automatic handwashing machines (my kids cannot get enough of these things!) and they're off to play! Which means that you and your husband can sneak off for some adult time onboard!
I hope you've considered booking a dinner at
Palo, the Adult Exclusive restaurant onboard. It is one thing my husband and I never miss when we sail. Palo is our favorite spot, whether it be for dinner or brunch on sea days. My favorite menu item: the chocolate souffle! Though there is an additional cost to dine in Palo (currently $25 per person), I promise it is worth every single penny for the fabulous menu, top notch service and relaxing, romantic atmosphere.
So, until you head over to Venice, take some time to make your plans and get even more excited about your cruise! If you haven't already, check out my
European Disney Cruise videos for lots of tips and sneak peeks at the ports of call! Have fun planning!
