Cruising Oct. 12th. My dd is saving money to get gift cards for our trip. Can we put her gift cards and my credit card on our account and set it up so the amount of her gift cards is applied to her keycard and the credit card is applied to mine?

Welcome aboard, Ashlee! This fall will be such a special trip as you set sail with Disney Cruise Line! I love that your daughter is already planning buy saving her money to purchase Disney Gift Cards!

My family does that as well. If you haven't already, check and see if your local grocery store (ours in Kroger, here in Ohio) offers fuel rewards for buying gift cards. Ours always offers double, but sometimes they'll do a special where you can get triple or quadruple fuel rewards for purchasing gift cards! During those times, I purchase Disney Gift Cards to help pay for our cruise and to use as credits onboard our sailings. And then we get $1.00 off per gallon of gas which helps since we fill up our car so often! It's a great way to save some money on gas while you save for the cruise!

Once it is 75 days prior to departure, you can log into your reservation on Disneycruise.com and begin your online check-in. At that point, you can assign who in your stateroom is responsible for stateroom charges. There, you can set up your credit card for your Key To The World card charges, but don't select your daughter as being able to charge to your account. Once onboard, stop by Guest Services to ask them to assign your daughter's Key To The World Card separately for a cash basis (since she won't be adding a credit card to her account). She should then be able to give them her Disney Gift Cards to add as credits on her account. Then, she'll be able to use her Key To The World Card to pay for any onboard charges. Alternately, Disney Gift Cards are accepted in the gift shops onboard if you'd prefer to keep the account all together and just let her use them to buy souvenirs.

I hope those details help, Ashlee! Have fun planning!
