Cruising Nov. 2014 on Magic. Do they still have character dining? Do they having any games like the midship detective agency that we played on the dream? My kids are ages 7 & 11 and this is our 3rd cruise but the 1st time on the Disney magic. I'm nervo

Welcome back, Mykel! I just sailed on the Disney Magic last week for the first time since it's been completely re-imagined, and I can tell you that your family is in for so much excitement!

Your seven-night sailing on the Magic will include a character breakfast with Mickey, Minnie and friends. But, that is not the only exciting thing you have to look forward to. While the Magic does not offer the Midship Detective Agency like the Dream and Fantasy, there are plenty of other Magic-only things to enjoy. Your kids are the perfect age to head into the Oceaneer Club and experience the fun of Avenger's Academy. Throughout the cruise, they will participate in special missions and get to virtually try on Iron Man's suit. The kids will get to make their own super suits for this multi-day adventure in the Club! Captain America himself may even pop in for a visit with the kids, which is something my son is so thrilled about!

Now, you can read about all of the other exciting updates to the Magic, but I have to tell you about my absolute favorite: The AquaDunk. No, not the AquaDuck watercoaster you've experienced on the Dream and Fantasy, but a brand new thrill slide on the Magic. Step into a capsule and get ready as Huey, Dewey and Louie count down from 3, 2, 1 and the floor drops out from beneath you, sending you straight into the slide. Twist and turn (and scream!) as you head out over the side of the ship and back again before splashing to the bottom. Then, do it all over again! I rode over and over last week and though I must admit the wait for the drop is nerve-wracking, once you're on the slide, it's so much fun!

You will not regret choosing the Magic for your next Disney cruise, Mykel! I'm so excited for your family!
