Hi! We're cruising in march and I read that tank tops are not allowed at dinner. What about a nice sleeveless top/dress? Would that be allowed? Thanks.

    Ahoy, Sheri!

A magical March voyage awaits you in the new year! How fun! I'm sure you're counting down to embarkation day as you plan for everything you'll need to bring along to have at sea. Cruise attire is always something to plan ahead so packing will be a breeze when it comes time to get the suitcases out. I like to compare Cruise Casual attire to what I would wear out to dinner at home. A sleeveless dress or nice sleeveless tops with jeans, pants or skirts are absolutely fine. I imagine the tank tops they don't want to see in the main dining rooms at dinner are ones you might wear to work out in or as an undershirt. I know I have some nicer tank tops that I wear underneath cardigans that I would wear out to eat.

Sheri, I'm usually chilly in the public areas of the ship at night including the main dining rooms and in the Walt Disney Theatre. I always like to have a lightweight jacket or sweater to wear so I'm not cold throughout the evening hours. You'll also find the temperatures can be a bit cooler outside in March once the sun goes down. Layering is a good strategy so you'll stay comfortable whether you are enjoying the outside decks or some of the beautiful indoor spaces. The Disney Cruise Line Packing List is always a great resource as you begin to gather what you need.

I'm so glad you cruised over with your question, Sheri. Please let us know if you need any further help with your magical plans.

    Have a wonderful day!
