Cruising March 1-8 2015 on Magic. Do you know which restaurants will be assigned to each night? I want to book Palo, but want to choose which restaurant to miss out on, which would you recommend...unless we do brunch instead of supper so we don't have to.

Welcome aboard, Gillian! Now that it's December already, it feels like 2015 will be here before we know it. That also means it's closer and closer to your family getting to set sail on the Disney Magic next spring! You're in for such magic and fun!

Guests do not receive their restaurant rotations until they arrive at the port and receive their Key To The World Cards. However, Disney does allow guests to request a specific dining rotation, though it is not guaranteed. I will tell you though, that each time we've requested a specific rotation, we did find we got the one we requested, so do add this request to your reservation! Call the agents at Disney Cruise Line at 800-951-3532 (or your travel agent) to add this request.

I'll also give you a bit of extra information that may help when making your Palo reservations that wouldn't require you to request a specific dining rotation. Typically, on seven-night sailings, Formal Night is the first full day at sea and Semi-Formal night is the last full day at sea (days with no ports of call). So, if you book your Palo dinner for Semi-Formal night, which should be night six on your itinerary, you'll have a few benefits even if you don't request a specific dining rotation. First of all, you'll have to dress up for Palo anyway, so why not do it on Semi-Formal night so you don't need to pack three dressy outfits? That's what my husband and I usually do. Plus, then the kids don't need a Semi-Formal outfit since they'll eat in the Youth Clubs that night while you dine at Palo. Saves lots of packing room! Secondly, by night six, you'll have already dined in all of the main restaurants, so you'll be on a repeat restaurant that night, meaning you won't miss one while you're at Palo.

I hope those tips help as you plan your cruise, Gillian! Enjoy these last few months of anticipation and planning before you set sail and please stop back if you have other questions!
