Welcome back Gillian!
I highly recommend that you swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Discovery on Grand Cayman Island. There are two dolphin adventures there, the encounter and the extreme swim. Since she is old enough for the extreme swim, go for that for sure! The two of you will have even more time in the water and lots more interaction, especially with the thrilling push across the water. My daughter was a bit nervous about this at first push when we experienced an amazing dolphin swim, but after seeing me go first, propelled all the way across the water by the dolphins, she was so excited and it was her favorite part of the adventure by far! Plus, with the
Dolphin Extreme Swim and Turtle Farm adventure on Grand Cayman, you'll also have the opportunity to visit the Turtle Farm across the street! My son enjoyed getting to hold baby sea turtles and also see huge fully grown sea turtles at this amazing nature preserve. This adventure is two in one! If you have additional family members who don't want to swim with the dolphins, they can still come along to the rest of the adventure with you by booking the Dolphin Observer adventure.
In Cozumel, my favorite spot is the Playa Mia Beach Resort on the
Cozumel Beach Break. You can spend a relaxing day on the gorgeous beach, plus let your daughter enjoy the waterpark that is attached. Or take the
Ruins and Beach Tour to visit the Mayan Ruins and then arrive at Playa Mia Beach for the rest of the day. We love to include some cultural learning in our trips too, so we loved this option! Happy planning!
