Hi there, Jonathan!
Welcome aboard, it's so nice to have you cruising along with us!
You are correct that the
current required travel documentation for US citizens cruising on round-trip Bahamian itineraries is either an original valid US passport, an original valid US passport card, a valid Trusted Traveler Card, or both an original state-issued birth certificate and a government-issued photo ID. Certified copies of birth certificates are not accepted.
I'm sorry if that puts an extra burden on your vacation planning. The good news is that you have plenty of time before your cruise! I highly recommend applying for US passports for your party. There are
benefits to carrying a passport during international travel that a birth certificate can't provide, and it's great to have them if something happens and you need to adjust your plans during your cruise. It's not a fun thing to think about, but it happens, so it's best to be prepared!
It looks like most of the Disney Magic sailings in September 2025 are stopping at
Disney Castaway Cay or
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point...I even see one itinerary that includes both! I hope your cruise includes one of these beautiful islands. The combination of beautiful beaches and our favorite Disney friends just can't be topped! But no matter where your cruise sails, if you're on the
Disney Magic you'll definitely get to see one of my favorite princesses: Rapunzel!
Tangled: The Musical might be my top show on any of the Disney Cruise Line ships. From the comical Maximus to the gorgeous floating lights, it's such a memorable theater experience!
I'm glad you checked in with us, Jonathan! Get that travel documentation squared away and then it'll be smooth sailing for your cruise next year. Let us know if you have any more questions!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
