Hi Catherine, welcome aboard! You'll really enjoy the Magic and all of the fitness offerings you'll find onboard.
For your morning runs, head up to Deck 4, where you'll find a 1/3-mile track running the length of the ship on both sides. You're sure to have beautiful views near Grand Cayman and Cozumel on your sailing. Plus, you'll take advantage of the cooler temperatures early in the morning.
The Fitness Center on Deck 9 is the place to find free weights along with a variety of cardio and strengthening machines. The Fitness Center usually opens at 6:00 a.m., so if you want to make the most of your day, go early. Then you won't have to worry about rushing to meet the rest of your group for breakfast or activities.
Once you're onboard, you'll find a schedule of the fitness seminars and classes, including the yoga options, that the
Vista Spa and Fitness Center will be offering for your sailing. Most are about 45 minutes long. I wish I could tell you what the classes and times will be, but they vary by cruise and are always subject to change. Most of them are in the morning anywhere from about 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. When I've cruised, I've usually noticed yoga to be one of the earliest classes, though I have occasionally seen an afternoon yoga offering as well. Be sure to take a look at the class schedule on the first day so you can plan your workouts. Most of the classes won't fill up, but the schedule will note what you may need to pre-register for ahead of time.
Just a week until you set sail, Catherine! I hope you really enjoy your cruise on the Magic!
