Hello:)Question:We are cruising Feb 2 on the Wonder! My daughter is an only child (8 years old) and we/she are a little nervous about her going to the "kids Club" without a friend or sibling. Is this something that we can go in with her?

Welcome aboard, Wendy! My family and I cruised last month when the Disney Wonder began sailing again after the magical transformation of spaces, restaurants and other venues onboard, and boy were we blown away by the Wonder's new Youth Clubs! Your daughter is in for so much fun when she hangs out with the super cool youth counselors and other kids in those new spaces! The Oceaneer Club boasts the new Frozen space - she can actually hang out in Wandering Oaken's Trading Post - Big Summer Blow Out! Anna and Elsa stopped by to join the coronation activity with my kids. What a treat it was! And the Marvel Superhero Academy there is truly spectacular, with some really fun interactive activities. Spider Man and Black Widow taught my kids the inside tips on using spider senses and being a hero. Andy's Room is a lot of fun too! I even took a ride down the Slinky Dog slide during Open House hours. I couldn't resist!

Speaking of Open House hours, that's when parents can stay and play with their kiddos in the Youth Clubs. If your daughter is a bit nervous to hang out there on her own, I recommend stopping into the Oceaneer Club that first day onboard during Open House. You can check out the spaces with her, chat with the counselors, and find out about all the fun activities and events planned for your sailing. I bet she'll feel much more confident and ready to attend on her own after spending time with you there first. Then, watch for Open House hours throughout the sailing, at least once per day, when you can go together again, or she can go to activities on her own during regular programming hours. My daughter always comes away with new best friends each time she sails, because the counselors really encourage the kids to get to know each other.
    Have such fun, Wendy!
