Ahoy, Kristin!
I like the way you think! It's hard to be so close to the Disney Parks and not swing by for a day of magic and wonder on land! And it will make leaving the
Disney Fantasy a little easier because disembarkation is always the hardest part of the cruise for me!
Express Walk-Off is a great option especially if you have your own transportation and want to get to the Orlando area quickly. There is no sign up ahead of time so the only preparation is to keep your luggage instead of placing it outside your stateroom door on the last night. You'll receive debarkation procedure information in your stateroom on the final evening, so you'll want to review over the Express Walk-Off process. It recommends that you wait in the Lobby Atrium on Deck 3 around 7:00 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. with all your luggage. Once the ship is cleared by the local authorities, you are free to disembark and head to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This usually doesn't take too long, but will depend on how many Guests utilize the Express Walk-Off with you.
Kristin, it's about an hour to the Walt Disney World Resort from
Port Canaveral without traffic. Don't forget about the tolls! If you have a NC Quick Pass it will work at the Sun Pass toll facilities so that will save some time!
Thank you for sailing by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristin. We hope you'll visit us again if we can assist you with any other questions about your upcoming land and sea adventure!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
