Cruising on the Dream Oct 4th 2012 Pref is inside cabin, deck 8 mid-ship at elevator. . When online getting a quote the was a category 9d outside , cheaper than inside but says NON GTY Cant choose cabin. How does that work? When will I know location?

Welcome to the Moms Panel Anita!

You have come to the right place to help you plan a magical voyage on the spectacular Disney Dream. A "guaranteed category" means you are guaranteed a stateroom in the category booked or higher.  Sometimes a guaranteed reservation may get upgraded at no charge to you.   If you decide to book the GTY 9D, you will not receive your stateroom assignment until 30 days before your cruise.  I have heard that you might find out sooner, but it is usually around the 30 day mark.  My family booked a guaranteed category on a previous cruise and was very satisfied with the stateroom that we were assigned.

I hope this helps you make your decision.  Please stop back by if you have more questions.

    Happy Planning!
