Hi! We are cruising on the Dream to Nassau late August and would like to do the Dolphin Swim at the Atlantis. With a 8 and 9 year old which is better, Swim in Wonder or Dip and Discover? Is there enough time to also do Aquaventure?

    Welcome aboard, Deborah!

Disney Cruise Line offers some pretty awesome Port Adventures in Nassau, don't they? Actually, in every port of call, my family and I have a hard time choosing which adventure to book because so many of them sound so amazing!

My daughter and I really enjoyed our Dolphin Swim at Blue Lagoon Island in Nassau with Disney Cruise Line! It was so peaceful there, with a small group in the water, just four of us, and we had so much time to swim with and interact with those beautiful creatures and loved the final push across the water with two dolphins at our feet. While I haven't experienced the dolphin interactions at the Atlantis Resort yet, I have really loved my visits to Atlantis. It's quite the sight and something to experience at least once for sure, so I'm glad you're considering it.

I highly recommend choosing the Atlantis Dolphin Swim in Wonder with Aquaventure over the Atlantis Dolphin Cay Dip 'N Discover and Aquaventure since your kiddos are old enough for the swim. You'll get so much more interaction with the dolphins. There will be plenty of time after either adventure to spend the rest of the day at Aquaventure water park. I know that the adventure's description also talks about a self-guided tour to the "ruins" of Atlantis and the aquarium and casino, but you don't have to do that if you want more time at Aquaventure. You can easily spend all the rest of the day riding the awesome slides and other attractions at Aquaventure, though it would be worth a quick walk through the ruins if you can. I really enjoyed that! If you do this adventure, go on the the Leap of Faith water slide for sure. Let me tell you, whew, it's exhilarating, and you glide through a tunnel inside the shark tank at the end! Wow! You'll spot it right away. It's the one that looks like a big pyramid with a single slide on it.

Another great thing about the Port Adventures to Atlantis is that there are return times all day that run every half hour or so back to the ship, so stay as long as you'd like and plan to take one of the last shuttles back to maximize your time. Just don't miss that last shuttle!

    Have such fun planning, Deborah!
