Ahoy April!
It is wonderful to hear from you again! I just returned from a Disney Cruise and had a very short wait at the cruise terminal and arrived at one of the most popular times-11:00am. My family was on the ship within an hour of our arrival at the port so unless there are some problems with boarding you should be on the ship within an hour or so of your arrival as well. There are a few things to do at the port such as check out the large model of the Disney Magic, get a close up look at the ship on the observation deck, meet and greet a Disney character, check-in for the kids programming and watch some classic Disney cartoons. I always have my kids bring a small backpack with some travel sized games, their electronic devices, playing cards and a few pre-packaged snacks to pass anytime we have to wait. Before you know it, your crew will be passing through the Golden Mickey ears ready to start your Disney Cruise vacation!
Disney's Photopass is not the system used onboard. Your Key to the World Card will also serve as your photo card, and you will be able to swipe it at one of the photo kiosks to view your pictures.
Shutters, the onboard photo store, will print out your photos and place them in a folder just for your crew which you can view anytime the store is open. Individual prints, photo packages, and photo CDs are all available for purchase. Once you are onboard, you can visit Shutters for current pricing.
Thanks again for stopping by the Moms Panel, April! Please keep me posted as you continue to plan!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
