    We are cruising on the dream in February 2017 and wondering if there is a waiting list that we could get on to reserve a cabana at castaway cay?

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The cabanas on Castaway Cay are quite popular among cruisers. They are typically reserved online in the Castaway Cay Port Adventures section of the Disney Cruise Line website under "My Reservations." Guests can begin reserving the cabanas 120, 105, 90 or 75 days prior to departure depending on their Castaway Club level. Levels are determined by the number of cruises you have taken with Disney Cruise Line, so Platinum Guests (and Concierge Level) can book at 120 days (10+ cruises), Gold Guests at 105 days (6-10 cruises), Silver at 90 days (2-5 cruises) and new cruisers at 75 days out. When it's your turn to book, which will be in the late fall, you'll want to check online for availability. If there is no availability, I suggest continuing to check daily for any cancelations especially around 4-5 days prior to departure. If nothing opens up, stop by the Port Adventure Desk once you are aboard to place your name on a Waiting List. I have heard of Guests getting lucky onboard, but it's not something to count on due to the popularity at this time. If you don't end up with a cabana, there are plenty of shading spots under the umbrellas and palm trees! There are also lots of lounge chairs and beach chairs for your family to enjoy!
